Proper Sleep

Many college students know the struggle of getting quality sleep or the correct amount of sleep. Some ways that can help get better sleep are making a proper sleep schedule and sticking to it. It is hard to go to sleep when your body is constantly changing the time it is going to rest. One thing that also helped me was buying blackout curtains. Blackout curtains helped keep out any unnecessary light that was causing me not to get proper sleep or rest. This can also help with staying asleep if some light sneaks in, your body may notice it and want to wake up when it's not ready to. The last thing that helped me was getting my daily exercise, this helped my body get the proper strain it needed to also help it need the sleep, rest, and recovery to get quality sleep and the correct amount of sleep.

Rehab Process

From this fall, my body has gotten banged up here and there, which leads me to recover properly and get prepped for the winter to get back to 100% full health. From now until the start of the season in February I will be working on my shoulder to get back to full health. I will be doing rehab everyday as well as treatment to help speed up the recovery process. My rehab consists of band work, medball work, strength training, and stability exercises. By the time the season starts my goal is be conditioned and ready to go by game 1.

Green & White World Series

The rock baseball team had their annual fall ball Green & White World Series this past weekend. This is a weekend where the team gets split up and plays 3 games to win the bragging rights of who has the better team. Game 1 was won by the white team by a score of 10-2. We had a great competition that day, leading us to game 2, which was also won by the white team by a score of 4-0. The white team came to play this weekend and took the series in 2 games. Even though we took the series in 2 games, we played game 3, and the green team took the final game of our fall ball season.  Here are some pictures from the series:

Weekend Update

This past weekend was full of fitness and baseball for me. This past weekend started with a friday intrasquad where we were getting geared up to play an outside game against Salem University. That day was a long day going from class straight to the field to get ready. Our practice days usually start with optional early work which is when you can get your body prepped for the next hour before the actual practice starts. Then we get into practice which is batting practice on field and getting loose for the intrasquad. After batting practice we get into the game and go until all of the pitchers have thrown for the day. We repeat this all weekend and on Sunday October 20th we got to see some outside competition. We ended up winning both games to end on a good weekend for the Rock Baseball team.  Here are some pictures and videos from the weekend:                                 ...
